When you read that Fury has beaten a former British champion it's fair enough to be impressed. Though in all honesty McPhilbin is a shadow of the man who took the British Cruiserweight belt, and even then he wasn't anything great. In fact McPhilbin's fall from grace has been nothing short of amazing with this being his 6th loss in 7 bouts and in fact it could spell the end of his career.
In a second Heavyweight bout in the UK Darren Morgan (6-5, 4) took just 26 seconds to stop the debuting Adel Badawy (0-1). Hard to say much about this one other than that it was over quickly.
Outside of the UK, though staying in Europe there was a bout in Hungary as Tibor Balogh (8-1-2, 5) out pointed veteran Laszlo Toth (19-9, 13), who lost the first decision of his career. And also a bout in Croatia as Ivica Perkovic (20-21, 15) scored a 4th round stoppage over the winless Sanid Imamovic (0-11).
In the US the promising Constantin Bejenaru (4-0-0-1, 2) managed to avenge his no contest as he out pointed Excell Holmes (2-2-1-1, 1) in a clear decision. This was the second meeting between the two men after their first was ended from a clash of heads just a few months ago.
